Exploring the luxury property market


José Cardoso Botelho, CEO of Vanguard Properties, one of Portugal’s largest luxury property developers, spoke at the event, which was well attended by more than 70 people, and told the group about the market.

This was the latest in a series of events sponsored by the Brightman Group, which are held regularly throughout the year and provide guests and members with the opportunity to hear from leaders in the property industry. At the first event, which was held in November last year, Ann herself interviewed Patrick Ziegler-Lathrop of the club.


Brightman Group CEO Anne Brightman told The Portugal News that the event was a great success and sold out, and added that she is already working on the next event to be announced on the Brightman Group website as well as the Lisbon American Club website.


As a native Texan, Anne first joined the American Club of Lisbon because she came from the US and found that there were many other Americans in the capital. She added, however, that the American market is also becoming increasingly buoyant: “Many Americans are turning their eyes to Portugal, either for investment or for residence.”


Ann Brightman first set up her luxury property business more than four years ago and has brought her unique skills and attention to customer service to the market.
